Handcrafted Sterling Silver Antique Spoon Ring
This elegant ring is meticulously crafted from a repurposed sterling silver spoon, originally hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office in 1926. Weighing 2.23 grams, the piece retains its original hallmark, preserving its historical authenticity. It has been legally transformed into a unique item of jewellery in accordance with the Hallmarking Act of 1973. Each ring is accompanied by an official certificate of conversion and a unique reference number, ensuring its provenance and compliance.
This ring features a 14ct yellow gold set Pink Tourmaline and a 14ct yellow gold set Green Tourmaline .
Pink tourmaline, also know as rubellite, is the pink to red gem variety of the mineral tourmaline.
Pink tourmaline has generally been known as a stone of love and compassion and is excellent for healing and emotional support.
Green tourmaline, also know as verdelite, is the green gem variety of the mineral tourmaline.
Green tourmaline has generally been known as a stone of rejuvenation and growth and is excellent for encouraging healing and vitality.
These round tourmaline cabochons measures 4mm.
Pink tourmaline has a hardness of 7 - 7.5 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 3.01 to 3.06.
Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each stone is unique so colours will vary and natural inclusions and zoning will be present.
Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place tourmaline stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Pink tourmaline can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth.
