Handcrafted Sterling Silver Antique Spoon Ring

This elegant ring is meticulously crafted from a repurposed Mappin & Webb sterling silver spoon, originally hallmarked by the Sheffield Assay Office in 1920. Weighing 8.2 grams, the piece retains its original hallmark, preserving its historical authenticity. It has been legally transformed into a unique item of jewellery in accordance with the Hallmarking Act of 1973. Each ring is accompanied by an official certificate of conversion and a unique reference number, ensuring its provenance and compliance.

This ring has the addition of delicate texture along with an 18ct yellow gold hand set Opal.

The birthstone for October, opal has generally been known to be an emotional stone, intensifying emotions, encouraging independence and stimulating creativity.  

Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place opal stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Opal can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth.
